How it works

Phi Phi isn't only discovered by boat. With no cars or scooters, the island is crossed on foot along jungle trails, panoramic ridges and deserted beaches. We GPS-mapped the 5 most beautiful routes: follow your live position on the map, stage by stage, then ride a taxi-boat back from the beach you land on.

1. Pick your hike

Five trails with our GPS tracks, from the easiest (Long Beach, 35 min) to the most demanding (Nui Bay, 2h). Each page details the stages, the elevation profile and photos.

2. Follow the live GPS

On the trail, start Hike Mode: your position appears on the track, with the distance to the next point of interest and an alert if you drift off the path. All you need is your phone.

3. Swim, then boat back

Every trail ends at a viewpoint or a beach worth a swim. From Loh Bakao, Loh Moo Dee or Long Beach, a taxi-boat brings you back to Tonsai in 10-20 minutes, or book our private long-tail to keep the day going.

The boat ride back? We handle it

Walk out, sail back: our boats pick you up on the beach where the trail ends, or turn the hike into a full island day.

Private traditional long tail boat departing from Koh Phi Phi: you choose the duration (from 2 to 6 hours), your departure time (from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm, return before 6:30 pm) and your own itinerary. Price for the whole boat, 4 people included, +500 THB per extra person (up to 15 people, babies under 4 free): 2h 2,500 THB · 3h 3,700 THB · 4h 4,500 THB · 5h 5,500 THB · 6h 6,500 THB. Fruit and water included; Thai lunch included on the 5h and 6h trips. From Krabi or Phuket, a full day with transfer and 4 or 5 hours of long tail. National park fee extra, in cash on the day: 400 THB/adult, 200 THB/child 4-11 years.

Frequently asked questions

No. The trails are short (1.5 to 4 km) and our GPS tracks guide you live on the map, with your position and the next point of interest. A charged phone is enough. For a guided outing or a hike-and-boat combo, message us on WhatsApp.
All trails are free except the Viewpoint: access to the main platform (Viewpoint 2) costs 30-50 THB per person, paid in cash on site.
Trainers with decent grip are enough everywhere. Avoid flip-flops: the Viewpoint steps are steep and the jungle trails get slippery after rain. For Long Beach, walking sandals are fine.
Early morning (before 9am) or late afternoon. Between 11am and 3pm the heat and humidity make the climbs punishing. Sunrise at the Viewpoint and sunset at Long Beach are the two magic moments. Never hike at night: no trail is lit.
From Loh Bakao, Loh Moo Dee and Long Beach, long-tail taxi-boats run back to Tonsai (about 100-300 THB, agree on the price before boarding). From the Viewpoint and Nui Bay you return along the same trail. You can also book our private long-tail to be picked up whenever suits you.
