Koh Phi Phi isn't the cheapest destination in Thailand, it's an island, with island prices. But well prepared, your budget can go from single to fivefold for the same postcard decor.

We have lived on Koh Phi Phi since 2019. These are the actual prices we are seeing in 2026, not those from blogs written from Europe.

The costs we always forget
- National park fees: THB 400/adult, THB 200/child (4-11 years old), for Maya Bay, Bamboo Island and Phi Phi Leh. They are rarely included in the price of the tours: bring cash.
- Luggage transfer on arrival, porters at Tonsai pier (50-100 THB) if your hotel is far away.
- Water and sunscreen, more expensive on the island than in Phuket; stock up first.
- Money withdrawal, ATMs charge 220 THB per withdrawal: withdraw a large amount once.

Where to save without sacrificing
- The Tonsai market and stalls at lunchtime, full meal at 80-120 THB
- Only one excursion, but complete, the Magic Day (1,900 THB) covers Maya Bay + Pileh + Bamboo in one day: better than two average U-turns
- Guesthouse fan outside very high season, the island is experienced outside
- Ferry rather than speedboat, 300 THB difference per trip, for 1 hour more

Where it's worth spending more
- Sunrise at Maya Bay (Morning Maya, from 900 THB), the almost empty bay, the #1 memory of most of our travelers
- A private long-tail at sunset, from 2,500 THB for your group, unforgettable as a couple
- A hotel with swimming pool, 500-800 THB more, valuable between two sea trips

Budget depending on duration
| Duration | Backpacker | Mid-range | Resort |

| 2 nights | ~€140 | ~€290 | ~€600 |
| 3 nights | ~€170 | ~€390 | ~€850 |
| 4 nights | ~€220 | ~€500 | ~€1,100 |
Our advice: 3 nights is the ideal duration to enjoy without blowing the budget.
