The most festive boat on Koh Phi Phi
The Pirate Boat is the Phi Phi boat party: a two-deck pirate ship with music from the moment you board, a bar, a dance floor and a full day of island hopping around Phi Phi Leh, run by Phi Phi Pirates. It is the festive take on the classic island tour, and you book it here directly with our team on the island.
Practical details
- Easy logistics: meet at 11:30 at the Relax Bar in Tonsai, no hotel shuttle needed.
- What to wear: swimsuit plus a light t-shirt. It gets a little cool after sunset, so bring a light sweater.
- Photos: the ship is very photogenic, with its pirate flag, sails and rigging.
Tip: be at the Relax Bar at 11:30 sharp, the crew boards the whole group together; head straight up to the upper deck to grab a good spot.
Who the boat party is for (and who it is not for)
- Perfect for: groups of friends, couples who want a lively day out, sociable solo travellers, and anyone who wants to see Maya Bay and party on the same day.
- Less suited if you are after peace and quiet: from around 18:00 the dance floor and the bar set the tone. For a quieter sunset at sea, tell us and we will suggest a calmer trip.
- With children: fine during the day (snorkelling at Monkey Beach, kayak, SUP); the party mood builds mainly towards the end of the loop.
What the tour covers, at a glance
One sailing strings together the must-sees of Phi Phi Leh: Monkey Beach, Viking Cave, Pileh Lagoon, Table Coral City and Maya Bay, the legendary setting of The Beach, before sunset on board. Kayak, snorkelling and stand-up paddle are included, as is the 400 THB national park fee that most tours charge on top.
Maya Bay is tightly managed since it reopened (300 visitors at a time, entrance fee, time slots) and closes to landings every year from 1 August to 30 September. We explain everything in our complete Maya Bay 2026 guide before your visit.
Book direct, no middleman
The price is 1,800 THB per adult for departures up to 31 October 2026, then 2,200 THB per adult (1,800 THB per child aged 4 to 11) for departures from 1 November 2026; the price follows the date of the sailing, not the date of booking. A 300 THB deposit is all it takes to hold your spot, and the balance is paid on the day. You book directly with our team based on Koh Phi Phi: WhatsApp confirmation, personal tips, and you can move your date if your plans change.

Before you go
Good to know
Prone to seasickness?
Take a tablet ~30 min before departure, sit mid-boat, keep your eyes on the horizon and avoid heading out on an empty stomach.
Beat the crowds
Iconic spots like Maya Bay are far calmer early in the day. Our morning departures get you there before the midday ferry rush.
National park fees
Some sites sit inside a national park, so an entrance fee may apply. Check the “Not included” list above so there are no surprises.
Sun & reef care
The tropical sun is strong, bring a hat, sunglasses and plenty of water. Reef-safe sunscreen is required in Thai marine parks.
What to pack
Swimwear under your clothes, a towel, a dry bag for your phone, and a change of clothes for the trip back.
