The best hike in Krabi
Khao Ngon Nak (nicknamed Dragon Crest) offers the most spectacular view in the region — complete panorama of the bay, the limestone islands of Ao Luk and Koh Hong. The summit is a flat ridge shaped like a dragon's back, hence the name.
What to bring
- Sturdy hiking shoes or sneakers (no sandals).
- 2 bottles of water of 500 ml (supplied additionally).
- Sunscreen, hat, glasses.
- Camera — the view at the top is worth it.
- Telescopic poles if you use them (not obligatory).
Our advice
Combine Dragon Crest in the morning + Emerald Pool in the afternoon — 2 nature activities in the same day, and you take advantage of the thermal springs to relax your legs after the hike.
Our tip: The Dragon View Restaurant at the foot of the mountain serves the best khao soi (Nordic curry) in Krabi — perfect after exercise. 150-250 THB per dish.
