Two unique shows in the world

  • Floating market: boats loaded with fruit that slide between the klongs — THE photo of Thailand from the 60s and 70s, still relevant today.
  • Railway market: stalls 40 cm from the rails, parasols that fold in 30 seconds when the train passes. Unique in the world. To experience at least once.

Our advice

  • Camera ready at each stop — the train does not pass twice.
  • Closed shoes at Maeklong (rails, stalls on the ground, tight crowds).
  • Cash to buy fresh fruit in Damnoen — Thai mango on a canoe is the number one souvenir.

Fuller day option

If you want Ayutthaya + Markets in the same day, we offer a long version (2,900 THB, 5:30 a.m.-5 p.m.). Denser, 1 day instead of 2.

Tip: The markets are best in the morning (9am-11am). If your schedule allows, arrive early for more active sellers.

Thailand's most famous floating market. 30-45 min trip in a traditional canoe (sampan) through the canals. Sellers in boats offer fruits (mangoes, durian, rambutan), flowers, souvenirs, cold beer, hot bowl noodles — you can buy from your boat.

    Maeklong Railway Market
